We're glad you've found your way here and are interested in fair and affordable housing opportunities in Westchester County, NY. HomeSeeker is intended to support Westchester County's commitment to promoting fair and equitable housing across its six cities, 19 towns and 20 villages.

 For decades, Westchester County has been at the forefront of affordable housing development. How does HomeSeeker work?

Through HomeSeeker, you can find and apply for affordable rental and homeownership opportunities. To qualify, your household must meet the household income and size requirements for affordable housing.

Register

To get started with HomeSeeker, create an account with a unique user name and an email address. Click "Register" at the top of the page, or "Create an Account" below.

Complete your profile

HomeSeeker gives you the ability to update your profile as income or household information changes. Receive emails when opportunities become available.

Apply for Affordable Housing

Visit HomeSeeker often to learn about and apply for new housing opportunities that meet your household needs. Your household may apply only once for each distinct affordable housing opportunity. However, you may apply to multiple housing opportunities.

Selection

If you apply to an opportunity before the Application End Date where a lottery will be conducted, your application will be included in a lottery. Once the lottery is conducted applications will be reviewed for eligibility based on the lottery order. It may take several months for the applications to be processed.

Waitlist

If you apply to a Waitlist Opportunity, your application will be put at the end of the waitlist based on the date you apply. Only when a unit becomes available and where your application has been reached on the Waitlist will you be contacted for eligibility review. During the application review process, documentation will be requested to confirm your eligibility.

Sign a lease or complete a purchase

Once it has been determined you are eligible, a lease or a purchase agreement can be executed.
